Daniel Chapter Two: A Brief Analysis

I was a teenager serving in the U.S. Army…

the first time I read the Book of Daniel, located in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible (the seventh book after Proverbs, situated between the books of Ezekiel and Hosea).  While I have forgotten most of the chapters in the book, the one that stuck is the second chapter.  In it, Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar (who had the Israelites in forced servitude) has a terrible dream and sends for his spiritual advisors and demands they tell him both his dream and the meaning of it, or be killed.  His advisors, plead with him to not be so harsh, explaining that no man alive can tell another man a dream that he had.  The king would not relent and gave them a brief time period to grant his wish or be killed.

The wise men, who’d heard the story of a righteous Hebrew named Daniel sent for him and explained the king’s demands.  Daniel, knowing the impossibility of the request without divine assistance, prays to the God of Israel (Yahuah) who gives Daniel both the dream and the interpretation thereof.

Fast Forward to 1991

When I read this fascinating tale of the Israelite prophet Daniel, I gave no considerable thought to the identifying the kingdoms explained in the dream, but the one that shone brightest to me, was the last kingdom.  It was very clear to me then (and now) that the fourth and final kingdom in the dream, was none other than America.  Please watch the video below to hear my concise explanation for why I believed almost 30 years ago and still do today, that the final kingdom was America.
